Getting excited to sew everday for a week!

I have been getting very excited about my new serger and all the new projects I am going to try as soon as I am back to my regular non-work schedule (my husband is sick of me saying “i’m going to make that on my serger!”). I am also getting very excited about spring and all the cute dresses R will be able to wear! So in prep, i have been looking online for different toddler girl dress patterns and came across this challenge: the Kids Clothes Week Challenge. I love it! I need a goal and some motivation to force myself to actually get some sewing done! I used to find energy all the time to just sew in the evenings, but lately I’m so tired I can barely do much of anything. So this will be my motivation =) Thanks Elsie Marley!

Good luck! I am not really sure what a serger does opposed to a sewing machine but I am guessing you can use your new toy to make clothes. That is pretty awesome! I can’t wait to see pictures of all the cute dresses you make for R!
ha ha – you and i are thinking along the same lines as usual! check out the dress i made for her today! and yes, a serger is another machine with which I can make clothes. it basically does seams and other cool things really fast and efficiently. It doesn’t do everything a sewing machine does, but it is pretty darn cool!
